Dr. Urs Zimmerli
CEO Switzerland & Industrial Parks
Urs is an experienced manager with many years of international experience in the chemical industry. He holds a PhD in chemical engineering from ETH Zurich, an MBA from the Open University and diplomas in industrial engineering and chemical engineering. Urs is the CEO of GETEC Switzerland and is also heading the GETEC PARK.EMMEN, in the Netherlands. Before assuming these roles, he was COO of the GETEC PARK.SWISS. Prior to joining GETEC, he held management positions at CABB AG and EMS Chemie AG. He also gained valuable experience at Archroma Management GmbH, Polygum Technologies LTD and Polygal AG.
Alexander Makarenko
CFO Switzerland
Alexander completed his business degree at the University of Passau and his international business degree at University College Dublin. He became the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of GETEC Switzerland in August 2019, and is also responsible for the legal, IT, purchasing and business process management departments. In addition, he took on the additional role of CFO for the GETEC PARK.EMMEN industrial park in 2020. Prior to joining GETEC, Alexander gained valuable experience in the energy and mobility sectors at b-k-p Consulting, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Kia Motors Europe.
Stephan Buser
Site Head GETEC PARK.STEIN
Stephan holds a doctorate in engineering from ETH Zurich and is an experienced manager with many years of expertise in the pharmaceutical and chemical. He has been Site Head of GETEC PARK.STEIN since January 2024 and is responsible for the strategic and operational management and further development of the industrial park. Previously, as Post Merger Integration Manager, he led the integration of the former Novartis Pharma site in Stein into GETEC. Before joining GETEC, he held senior engineering and site development positions at Novartis and Ciba Specialty Chemicals.
Reto Stahl
Head of Operations GETEC PARK.MUTTENZ
Reto is an experienced senior executive who has been active in the life science industry for over 20 years. He holds a PhD in organic-synthetic chemistry and analytics from ETH Zurich and has an impressive track record in management, operations and success, particularly in the areas of restructuring, turnaround and growth management. He was most recently CEO of Konapharma AG in Pratteln, and previously COO and CEO of Streuli Pharma AG.
Marina Ruckdäschel
Head of HR Switzerland
Marina is a dedicated HR professional with more than two decades of experience in the chemical and industrial sectors . She holds a degree in business administration from the University of Bayreuth, with a focus on HR, finance and English. She became the Head of HR at GETEC Switzerland in October, 2021, and is the senior business partner for personnel discussions, conflict management, coaching, personnel development and recruitment. Prior to that, she held HR management positions at Geistlich Pharma AG, Habasit AG and Armstrong Metalldecken AG. Team-oriented, strategic and operational, Marina combines a high sense of responsibility with entrepreneurial thinking.
Bernd Flohr
Head of Solutions Switzerland
Bernd is a solutions and technology expert with an international background in the petrochemical and chemical industries. With an MBA in international marketing and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Bernd's career has been defined by identifying the optimal intersection between economic success and technical feasibility. He has been Head of Solutions at GETEC Switzerland since July 2024 and is responsible for the development and implementation of customised infrastructure and technology solutions. Previously, he was Head of Technology and Head of Engineering, among other roles, and he has played a key role in the further development of GETEC Switzerland. Before joining GETEC, Bernd held management positions in international industrial and plant engineering.
Mara Guzzetti
Head of Business Development MCS Switzerland
Mara is an experienced manager with a long track record in the pharmaceutical, chemical and service industry. She holds a PhD in human science from the Catholic University of Milan, a certification in Key Account Management from the Management Centre Europe in Brussels and various certifications from the IMD School in Lausanne. Before joining GETEC, Mara held management positions in operations, sales and marketing at blue chip companies and at Intertek, where she spend almost three years in the Middle East for a joint venture with the Abu Dhabi government. Most recently, she was in the CMO industry at Valsynthese and Carbogen Amcis, where she held the position of general manager.
Denise Unkan
Head of Legal & Compliance Switzerland
Denise is an accomplished legal professional with extensive expertise in corporate law, compliance and regulatory matters within the chemical and industrial sectors. A licensed attorney, she holds a law degree from the University of St. Gallen and an LL.M. from the University of Zurich. Since 2008, Denise has been active in the chemical and industrial park environment, where she has held various legal positions, including senior roles at Clariant and Infrapark Baselland. With more than 15 years in industrial park operations, Denise has the knowledge and expertise to address legal issues with a deep understanding of technical and operational processes. Denise became Head of Legal & Compliance for GETEC Switzerland in August, 2019.
